Machu Picchu Galapagos Tours Extension

Be overwhelmed with the power and glory of an ancient people!

Before, or after your incredible Galapagos Cruise experience, fly to Lima, the capital city of Peru, also known as the city of kings. A staff member will greet you right outside of customs to take you to your hotel. Enjoy a hearty breakfast the next morning, and take a private transfer to the Lima airport for your 1 hour flight to Cuzco, Peru. Representatives will take you to the classic Libertador Hotel Cuzco, the former palace of Francisco Pissarro.

Cocoa tea will be waiting for you at the hotel, to help you adjust to the altitude of 12,000. After getting settled, enjoy a private guided Cuzco tour, including the local Ican ruins. The following morning, your private guide will meet you in your hotel lobby and take you to the Cuzco train station, for your alpine rail adventure onboard the Vistadome or Hiram Bingham train, operated by Orient Express, headed for Aguas Calientes (below Machu Picchu).

Your guide will take your to the modern Sumaq Hotel to drop off your bags and check-in. Continue on a short transfer up the hill to Machu Picchu. Enjoy a guided Machu Picchu tour of the famous ruins and citadel. Lunch is included and will be served at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. After the Machu Picchu tour, overnight at the modern Sumaq Hotel Agus Calientes.

At the Sumaq Hotel, dinner is included. In the morning explore the ruins the following day at your leisure. Board the Vistadome or Hiram Bingham train back to Cuzco in the afternoon for an overnight at the Libertador Hotel Cuzco. The next morning your guide will met you in the lobby of the Libertador Hotel and transfer you to the Cuzco airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival in lima, transfer to an airport hotel to await your international flight to your next destination.

However, this program includes transfers, a two night stay in Lima, two nights in Cuzco, one night in the Machu Picchu area, guided tours in Machu Picchu area, guided tours in Machu Picchu and Cuzco, breakfast, round-trip train tickets, breakfast at the hotels, as well as lunch and dinner in Machu Picchu.
